f&B kITCHEN cLASS..*

I had an F&B kitchen class yesterday afternoon. It was our turn to be the leader group to lead about 15 classmates to cook luncheon. The ingredients our tutor, Peter, prepared for us was not as our expectation, especially the clams, packed in jars and were as small as finger nails. As it was a large luncheon, we separated the tasks to three teams. At the beginning, it was expected that the situation would be a mess, but the I could say the situation was out of our expectation that it was more than a mess. Peter kept telling us our ingredients were too many for a luncheon for 20 people. Every time he come to our working station was going to ask us why why why. When one of our teammates cooked the pasta, he questioned on us that if we measured the weight of pasta that we had cooked, he thought that it was too many. So we decided to stop cooking pasta. Then, we have to mix the seafood and pasta together in a pan. We would like to separate the large portion of ingredients into 5 small portions as it would be easy for us to handle. When Peter saw us separating the ingredients, he asked the management team why we have to do so. Then I gave him our recipe, he started to ask some questions that no one understood. After that, one of our teammates told us he asked us difficult questions because he misunderstood that we were not following the steps of the recipe, but we did. So he had nothing to scold us. The most impressed thing was that, after we finished all the cooking, Peter commented on us and say the portion of pasta was not enough. How come? He stopped us from cooking pasta and said it was too much and at the end he said pasta was not enough? Ridiculous!!!

This F&B kitchen class I would say was the most "lost" class I had even attended. We had many many improvement to be took in the next class when we were the leader group again. But I was so tired of it already, I did not want to cook it once again.
After the class, Kay came to school and I share the pasta with him. he said it was better than what his classmates made. HAHA!
